Unfriendly service. You get turned on stupidly because you forgot to order something and not for the first time! I bought a sandwich today and have had abdominal pain for several hours. The sausage had probably been in the fridge for two weeks. So at some point the good nature will be over. That was my last visit to this bakery.

Corona or not. You have to pay attention to hygiene! What good is it if the women wear gloves behind the counter and really touch everything? Money is accepted, the cash register is served and then the handle in the bread basket. Scattered tongs for the rolls obviously only lie around for decoration. It's a shame that you don't even pay attention to it at such times. The waiting time in the queue is so long anyway, it only takes a few seconds to use the pliers.

The quality of the products is right. Very tasty and good rolls. The shop assistants are very friendly. On Sundays you have to wait a bit for the rush hour, but that's worth it. I really enjoy going there.

My half-hour break time bakery! For newspaper reading, eggs sandwiches, Kreuzviertelplaudern! Super nice staff, especially the branch manager with the Italian name and charm! My ever-returning feel-good oasis! Well done, Mr. Jankord! They can be proud of their employees👍🙋♂️

Cozy cafe with extensive breakfast menu. Especially delicious is the Stramme Max and also the chocolate rolls of the French kind are to be recommended. Gladly again!

Can not understand the hype. This is for me a normal baker with normal quality. Anyone who has ever been to a baker in the south will understand that. I would never queue at the weekend, which often goes down to the street. If I happen to see that by chance, I always have to shake my head.

The food tasted alright, but the workers there brought this review down to one star. My father was the one to buy our food, and when he accidentally left one of the purchases behind and went back to retrieve it, he discovered that it had already been resold. In the attempt to learn what had happened to it, the workers attempted to humiliate him for his German (we are native English speakers) in front of other customers and were generally uncooperative and rude. We will not be going here again as a result of this.

Nothing spectacular, but a good place to grab a coffee and a quick breakfast. Even in the afternoon.

The Backhaus is indeed since its renovation, both from the outside and inside really handsome, but it does not make up for the rather moderate quality of the coffee and the baked goods. Who wants to enjoy a good coffee / espresso in Kreuzviertel is definitely better off the other side of the street.
